Private standalone chalets set in a citrus orchard in central Kerikeri. Outdoor dining, native birdlife, and everything you need for a perfect Bay of Islands stay.
Kerigold started life as a honey storage facility. That's where the name comes from. The orchard of citrus and avocado trees was already old when the first private chalets were built in 2000, tucked in among the trees rather than clearing them. The modern studios came later, but they sit in the same orchard. In winter the trees go mad: oranges, tangelos, grapefruit, limes. More than anyone could use. Guests are welcome to pick fresh citrus during their stay, and avocados are available to buy on site.
What surprises most people is where it is. You're in the middle of an orchard, completely private, and you're also a five-minute walk from central Kerikeri. Restaurants, cafes, the weekend markets, all of it. It's the kind of combination that's hard to find.
